Anti-Hu CD19, HIB19, PE, 25tests

Manufactured by STEMCELL Technologies, this reagent is a monoclonal antibody that recognizes CD19, an approximately 95 kDa type 1 transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on the surface of B cells throughout all stages of B cell development, from early pre-B cells through to plasma cells. Expression is down-regulated but persists in terminally differentiated plasma cells, and CD19 is also found on follicular dendritic cells. By associating with CD21 and CD81, CD19 functions as a co-receptor for the B cell receptor and is involved in B cell activation and differentiation, with activation accompanied by phosphorylation of its cytoplasmic domain to promote binding to kinases and induction of intracellular signaling cascades. Mutations in CD19 can result in severe immunodeficiency syndromes.

The antibody, Clone HIB19, is suitable for applications including cell isolation and flow cytometry, and the clone has been verified for purity assessments of cells isolated with EasySep™ kits such as the EasySep™ Human CD19 Positive Selection Kit and the EasySep™ Human Whole Blood CD19 Positive Selection Kit. The PE-conjugated format has been demonstrated by flow cytometry on human peripheral blood mononuclear cells and on isolated B cell populations following positive selection.
