Anti-Hu CD19, HIB19, PE, 100tests

STEMCELL Technologies provides an Anti-Human CD19 Antibody (Clone HIB19) for use in immunology research. The HIB19 antibody recognizes CD19, an approximately 95 kDa type 1 transmembrane glycoprotein present on the surface of B cells throughout all stages of B-cell development, from early pre-B cells to plasma cells. While CD19 expression is down-regulated in terminally differentiated plasma cells, it persists at low levels, and the antigen is also found on follicular dendritic cells.

CD19 functions as part of a co-receptor complex with CD21 and CD81 at the B cell receptor, contributing to B cell activation and differentiation. Activation is accompanied by phosphorylation of the CD19 cytoplasmic domain, which promotes binding to kinases and the induction of intracellular signaling cascades. Mutations affecting CD19 have been associated with severe immunodeficiency syndromes.

The HIB19 clone is a mouse monoclonal IgG1, kappa antibody. It has been verified for purity assessments of cells isolated with EasySep™ kits, including the Human CD19 Positive Selection Kit, Human Whole Blood CD19 Positive Selection Kit, HLA Whole Blood B Cell Positive Selection Kit, HLA B Cell Positive Selection Kit, HLA B Cell Enrichment: Complete Processing Kit for Whole Blood, and HLA Total Lymphocyte Enrichment: Complete Processing Kit for Whole Blood, though partial blocking may be observed with some workflows. Suitable applications include cell isolation, CyTOF, flow cytometry, functional assays, and immunohistochemistry. The antibody is available conjugated to a range of fluorophores, including PE.
