Anti-Hu CD123, HIR2, PS, 100tests

A mouse monoclonal IgG1, kappa antibody raised in BALB/c mice, this reagent targets CD123 (IL-3Rα) and is conjugated to PerCP-Cy5.5 for flow cytometry applications. Clone 6H6 reacts with CD123 on human, rhesus, and sooty mangabey samples and does not inhibit binding of IL-3 to either CD123 or the IL-3 receptor.

CD123 is described as an approximately 70 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein of the type I cytokine receptor family (type 5 subfamily) and the Ig superfamily, and serves as the ligand-binding α chain of the heterodimeric IL-3 receptor. It is expressed by hematopoietic progenitor cells, endothelial cells, basophils, eosinophils, mast cells, monocytes, macrophages, dendritic cells, megakaryocytes, a subset of B cells, and neutrophils when cultured in the presence of GM-CSF. IL-3 binding to CD123 stimulates proliferation, differentiation, and viability of hematopoietic cells, and CD123 is reported to be highly expressed in malignancies such as acute leukemia. The clone has been verified for purity assessment of cells isolated with EasySep kits, including plasmacytoid DC and basophil enrichment workflows.

Manufactured by STEMCELL Technologies, the antibody is purified by column chromatography and supplied in an aqueous buffer containing 0.09% sodium azide, which may include carrier protein/stabilizer. For flow cytometry, the suggested use is ≤ 5 μL (0.25 μg) per 1 x 10^6 cells in 100 μL volume, with titration recommended for each application. The product is stable at 2 - 8°C when stored undiluted; it should not be frozen and should be protected from prolonged exposure to light.
