Anti-Hu CD11b, ICRF44, FI, 25tests

This FITC-conjugated monoclonal antibody is supplied by STEMCELL Technologies as a mouse IgG1, kappa reagent that targets CD11b (integrin αM), an ~170 kDa type 1 transmembrane glycoprotein. The antibody is produced using the ICRF44 clone and binds an extracellular epitope on CD11b. The reagent has been verified for flow cytometry (FC) and is reported for FC.

CD11b associates non-covalently with CD18 to form the heterodimeric Mac-1 receptor, which interacts with ligands such as ICAM-1 (CD54), ICAM-2 (CD102), ICAM-4 (CD242), iC3b, heparin and fibrinogen. The target is expressed on granulocytes, monocytes, NK cells, dendritic cells, tissue macrophages, and subsets of T and B cells, and CD11b has been used as a marker to distinguish naïve and memory CD8+ T cells. The ICRF44 antibody reportedly inhibits leukocyte aggregation in response to the chemoattractant fMLP. Reactivity has been demonstrated with human, rhesus, cynomolgus, baboon, chimpanzee, common marmoset, and pig samples.

The product is formulated in a phosphate-buffered solution at pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide and 0.2% (w/v) bovine serum albumin, and has been purified by affinity chromatography. It is stable at 2 - 8°C when stored undiluted; the product should not be frozen and should be protected from prolonged exposure to light. For flow cytometry, the suggested use is ≤ 5 μL per 1 x 10^6 cells in 100 μL volume or per 100 μL of whole blood, and titration is recommended for optimal performance.
