Anti-Hu CD105, 43A3, PE, 100tests

This PE-conjugated monoclonal antibody from STEMCELL Technologies is the clone 43A3, a mouse IgG1, kappa reagent raised against human CD105 (endoglin) and reactive with both human and mouse CD105. The target is an approximately 180 kDa cell-surface glycoprotein that exists as a disulfide-bonded homodimer of approximately 90 kDa type I transmembrane subunits, and it functions as a component of the TGF-β receptor complex.

According to reports summarized on the product sheet, CD105 binds TGF-β1 and TGF-β3 with high affinity but not TGF-β2, and additional reported ligands include Activin A, BMP-2, and BMP-7. The antigen is expressed by vascular endothelial smooth muscle cells, syncytiotrophoblasts of the placenta, and activated macrophages, and at relatively low levels by stromal fibroblasts. Its expression has been observed in some types of tumors and is up-regulated on the endothelium during angiogenesis. The immunogen used was L-cells transfected with human CD105.

Flow cytometry is the verified application, with additional reported use in immunohistochemistry, immunoprecipitation, and Western blotting. The reagent has been verified for labeling human mesenchymal cells grown in MesenCult™ proliferation and XF media. It is supplied as a clear liquid in a phosphate-buffered solution at pH 7.2 containing 0.09% sodium azide, purified by affinity chromatography, and is stable at 2 - 8 °C when stored undiluted.
