Anti-Hu ACE2, AC18F, UC, 100ug

Angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) is a type I transmembrane zinc metallopeptidase that serves both as the primary entry receptor for SARS-CoV-2 and as a physiological regulator of the renin-angiotensin system, where it cleaves angiotensin II to generate the protective peptide angiotensin-(1-7). The AC18F monoclonal antibody offered by STEMCELL Technologies targets the human ACE2 extracellular domain and is provided unconjugated in a 100 ug vial, allowing direct conjugation to fluorochromes, biotin, or enzymes within investigator-defined assays.

This reagent supports multiple research workflows, including flow cytometry of cell-surface ACE2 expression, western blot detection of full-length and shed soluble forms, immunohistochemistry on fixed tissue sections, and immunofluorescence imaging of ACE2 distribution across respiratory, renal, cardiac, and intestinal epithelium. Storage at -20°C in single-use aliquots preserves binding activity across repeated freeze-thaw cycles; refrigerated short-term handling is acceptable for actively used aliquots.
