ZNF596 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA

This cell-based ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the detection of ZNF596 levels in cell lysates and tissue homogenates, with reactivity to human samples. Detection is achieved by a colorimetric method at 450 nm in a 96-well microplate format, with a stated dynamic range of > 5000 Cells.

The kit uses a lysate-free, high-throughput indirect ELISA approach. ZNF596-specific primary antibodies capture the target, and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody to catalyse a colour reaction upon substrate addition. It can be used to measure relative ZNF596 protein expression in cultured cells and to screen the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals) or activators.

ZNF596 is a transcription factor that may be involved in transcriptional regulation and belongs to the krueppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family. For data normalisation, an anti-GAPDH monoclonal antibody is included as an internal positive control, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining may be used to determine cell density. The kit is stored at 4°C for 6 months.
