Human IL-18 ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of human IL-18 in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The double antibody assay delivers a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL across a standard range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL, with colorimetric detection at 450 nm following TMB substrate development.

Validated linearity data show recoveries within 82–105% across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions, while spike-and-recovery values fall between 86% and 104% for the same matrices. Reagents are stable at 2–8°C for up to 12 months when stored appropriately, and the workflow follows a standard sandwich ELISA format: antigen capture at 37°C, biotinylated detection antibody binding, HRP-streptavidin conjugation, TMB colour development, and absorbance reading.

IL-18 is a pro-inflammatory cytokine implicated in autoimmune, inflammatory, and infectious disease pathways, making this kit suitable for immunological research, disease pathogenesis studies, biomarker evaluation, and treatment monitoring.
