ZEB2 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA

A cell-based ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the measurement of ZEB2 (zinc finger E-box-binding homeobox 2) levels in cell lysates and tissue homogenates. ZEB2 is a transcriptional factor involved in regulating epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and cancer metastasis, and its dysregulation has been linked to diseases including cancer and fibrosis.

The assay uses a 96-well microplate format with a colorimetric detection method at 450 nm and is reactive with human, mouse, and rat samples. The kit has a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. It is a lysate-free, high-throughput, indirect ELISA in which ZEB2 is captured by ZEB2-specific primary antibodies and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining may be used to determine cell density and normalize absorbance values to plating differences.

The kit can be used to measure the relative amounts of ZEB2 in cultured cells and to screen the effects that various treatments, inhibitors (e.g. siRNA or chemicals), or activators have on ZEB2. Storage is at 4°C with a stability of 6 months.
