YAP (Phospho-Ser127)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

The Cell-Based ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed to detect YAP protein phosphorylation at serine 127 in cell culture samples. This phospho-specific cell-based ELISA targets YAP (Phospho-Ser127) and is reactive with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples.

Using a lysate-free, high-throughput indirect ELISA format, the assay captures YAP (Phospho-Ser127) with phospho-specific primary antibodies and detects bound target via HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. Detection is performed colorimetrically at 450 nm, with a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells.

Designed for adherent cells, the kit can be used to measure relative amounts of phosphorylated YAP in cultured cells and to screen the effects of various treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on YAP phosphorylation. A monoclonal GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalization, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining may be used to determine cell density. The target is YAP1 (Transcriptional coactivator YAP1, UniProt P46937), and the kit is positioned within the Epigenetics and Nuclear Signaling research area.
