XRCC6 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA

A Cell-Based ELISA Kit from Assay Genie designed for the precise measurement of XRCC6 (also known as Ku70) levels in cell lysates. XRCC6 is a key protein involved in DNA repair and maintenance of genomic stability, with dysregulation associated with various diseases including cancer and autoimmune disorders. The kit offers a convenient, lysate-free, high-throughput and sensitive assay format for detecting XRCC6 protein expression in cultured adherent cells, with reactivity to both human and mouse samples. Qualitative determination of XRCC6 concentration is achieved through an indirect ELISA format in which XRCC6-specific primary antibodies capture the target while HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition.

For normalization, the kit includes a monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH to serve as an internal positive control, and provides a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method for determining cell density. It can be used to measure relative XRCC6 expression in cells and to screen the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on XRCC6.
