XRCC4 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's colorimetric kit is designed for the precise measurement of XRCC4 levels in cell lysates and tissue samples, with detection at 450 nm. Built on an indirect ELISA format, the workflow is lysate-free and high-throughput, profiling XRCC4 protein expression directly in cultured cells.

The assay captures XRCC4 with target-specific primary antibodies, after which HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of those primaries, enabling a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step is provided for determining cell density so absorbance readings can be normalised to cell numbers. The kit can be used both to measure relative XRCC4 amounts in cultured cells and to screen the effects of treatments, inhibitors (including siRNA or chemicals) or activators on XRCC4 expression.

Intended for use with adherent human cells, the assay has a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells, is supplied in a microplate format, and should be stored at 4°C for up to 6 months. It supports studies of DNA damage response, cancer biology and genomics.
