WASP Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

This is a colorimetric cell-based ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the precise measurement of WASP (Wiskott-Aldrich Syndrome Protein) in cell lysates and tissue homogenates. The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which the target is captured by WASP-specific primary antibodies and detected with HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyse a colorimetric reaction read at 450 nm. The kit is lysate-free and suited to high-throughput workflows, allowing relative WASP levels to be quantified in cultured cells and used to assess the effects of treatments, inhibitors such as siRNA or chemicals, and activators on WASP expression.

Reactivity covers human, mouse and rat samples, and the assay has a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is supplied as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining is included to provide a cell-density readout for further normalisation. WASP is described as a key regulator of actin cytoskeleton dynamics involved in cell migration, adhesion and signalling, with dysregulation linked to Wiskott-Aldrich Syndrome, autoimmune disease and cancer, supporting applications in cell biology, immunology and cancer research.

The kit is intended for use with adherent cells and components are stored at 4°C with a stability of 6 months.
