Description
From Assay Genie, this Cell-Based ELISA kit is designed for the detection of VPS72 in cell lysates using an indirect ELISA format with HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies and a colorimetric readout at 450 nm. The assay is described as lysate-free and supports high-throughput screening of VPS72 expression in cultured cells, including adherent cell samples, as well as evaluation of the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals) or activators on VPS72 levels. Reactivity has been validated for human and mouse, and the kit is supplied in a 96-Well Microplate format with a stated dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. Storage is at 4°C for 6 Months.
For data normalisation, a monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step may be used to normalise absorbance values to cell density. VPS72 is described as a DNA-binding transcriptional regulator belonging to the VPS72/YL1 family and acting as a shared subunit of two multi-component complexes: the TRRAP/TIP60 histone acetyltransferase complex and the SRCAP-containing chromatin remodelling complex, with roles in chromatin architecture, histone exchange and DNA-dependent transcription. The protein is encoded by gene VPS72 (Gene ID: 6944; UniProt Q15906) with a reported molecular weight of 41,848 Da, and the product is positioned within the Epigenetics and Nuclear Signaling research area.
