Vimentin (Phospho-Ser56)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Cell-Based ELISA Kit enables qualitative detection of Vimentin phosphorylated at Ser56 directly in cultured cells, without a lysate preparation step. The assay uses a colorimetric readout at 450 nm in an indirect ELISA format: Vimentin (Phospho-Ser56) is captured by specific primary antibodies and detected via HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. The kit supports measurement of the relative amounts of phosphorylated Vimentin in cells and can be used to screen the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on Vimentin phosphorylation.

Two normalization strategies are provided: a monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody serves as an internal positive control, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method can be used to determine cell density. The dynamic range is > 5000 Cells and the kit is configured for use with adherent cell samples of human reactivity.
