VE-Cadherin Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

This Cell-Based ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the qualitative measurement of VE-Cadherin (CDH5) protein expression in cultured cells. It uses a lysate-free, high-throughput workflow in an indirect ELISA format, in which VE-Cadherin is captured by target-specific primary antibodies and detected using HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition.

Readout is performed at 450 nm by colorimetric detection, and the assay can be used to compare relative VE-Cadherin levels across treatments such as siRNA, chemical inhibitors or activators. An anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalizing target absorbance values, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining may be used to determine cell density and adjust for plating differences. The kit is reactive with human and mouse samples and is suitable for use with adherent cells, with a stated dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. Storage is at 4°C for 6 Months.
