VAV1 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's cell-based colorimetric ELISA is designed to detect VAV1 in human cell lysates, offering a sensitive, lysate-free, high-throughput workflow for research use. The kit uses an indirect ELISA format read at 450 nm, in which VAV1-specific primary antibodies capture the target and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies generate a colorimetric signal upon substrate addition.

Reactivity covers human, mouse and rat samples, with a dynamic range above 5000 cells. Normalization is supported by two methods: an anti-GAPDH monoclonal antibody supplied as an internal positive control, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining to determine cell density after the colorimetric read. The kit is stored at 4°C with a stability of 6 months.

VAV1 is a proto-oncogenic guanine nucleotide exchange factor of the Dbl family, expressed in hematopoietic cells and important in T-cell and B-cell development and activation. Dysregulation of VAV1 has been linked to autoimmune diseases, cancer and inflammatory disorders, making it a useful biomarker for studying these conditions and developing targeted therapies.
