VASP Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

Assay Genie supplies a Cell-Based ELISA Kit for the qualitative measurement of VASP (Vasodilator-Stimulated Phosphoprotein) levels in cell lysates and tissue homogenates. The assay uses adherent cells and provides a lysate-free, high-throughput workflow that can detect the VASP protein expression profile in cultured cells. It is also suited to screening the effects that various treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators have on VASP.

Detection follows an indirect ELISA format: VASP is captured by VASP-specific primary antibodies, and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of those primary antibodies. The conjugated HRP enzyme catalyses a colour-forming reaction upon substrate addition, with absorbance read at 450 nm. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step can be used afterwards to determine cell density and adjust for plating differences.

The kit is reactive with human, mouse, and rat samples, with a stated dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. The detection method is Colorimetric 450 nm, and storage stability is 4 °C / 6 Months.
