Uba2 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

A cell-based colorimetric ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the qualitative measurement of Uba2 in human cells. The kit is described as lysate-free, high throughput, and sensitive, and uses an indirect ELISA format in which Uba2 is captured by target-specific primary antibodies, while HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody. Colorimetric readout is performed at 450 nm, with a stated dynamic range of greater than 5000 Cells. The kit is stored at 4°C for 6 Months.

A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included to serve as an internal positive control in normalizing the target absorbance values. Following the colorimetric measurement of HRP activity via substrate addition, the Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method may be used to determine cell density. After staining, the results can be analysed by normalizing the absorbance values to cell amounts, by which the plating difference can be adjusted. The kit is suitable for measuring relative amounts of Uba2 in cultured adherent cells, and can also be used for screening the effects that various treatments, inhibitors such as siRNA or chemicals, or activators have on Uba2.
