Tyrosine Hydroxylase (Phospho-Ser40)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, the Tyrosine Hydroxylase (Phospho-Ser40) Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit is a lysate-free, high-throughput assay designed for the accurate measurement of phospho-serine 40 levels of tyrosine hydroxylase in cell samples. Tyrosine hydroxylase is a key enzyme in the biosynthesis of catecholamines such as dopamine, norepinephrine and epinephrine, and phosphorylation at serine 40 is essential for its activation and regulation, making it a critical marker in studies of neurotransmitter synthesis and the pathogenesis of neurological and psychiatric disorders.

The kit uses an indirect Cell-Based ELISA format in which phospho-Ser40 tyrosine hydroxylase is captured by target-specific primary antibodies and detected using HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyse a colorimetric reaction measured at 450 nm. It is reactive with Human, Mouse and Rat samples, supports a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells, and is intended for adherent cell samples.

For data normalisation, a monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining may be used to determine cell density so that absorbance values can be adjusted for plating differences.
