TYL (Tylosin) ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie TYL (Tylosin) ELISA Kit supports veterinary drug residue monitoring in edible products, providing laboratories with a competitive immunoassay workflow tailored to tylosin, a macrolide antibiotic routinely administered to livestock and honeybees. Tylosin residues in muscle, liver, kidney, and honey are regulated under maximum residue limits in many jurisdictions, and this assay offers a quantitative screening step for compliance testing programs with a detection range of 0.1–8.1 ppb and a sensitivity of 0.05 ppb.

Each kit contains pre-coated microplate wells, ready-to-use standards, antibodies, conjugates, substrate, and wash buffer sufficient for 96 assays. The procedure accommodates crude sample extracts from tissue and honey matrices, using 50 µL of sample per well, minimizing upfront cleanup steps. Quantitative results are calculated against a standard curve generated with each run and read on a standard microplate reader.

Reagents should be stored at 2–8 °C upon arrival and equilibrated to room temperature before opening. Cross-reactivity is documented for related macrolides including erythromycin and spiramycin in the kit insert.
