TXA2 (Thromboxane A2) ELISA Kit (UNES00037)

This Competitive-ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the accurate and precise detection of Thromboxane A2 (TXA2) levels in serum, plasma, and tissue homogenates. Using a colorimetric method, the assay runs in 2 h 30 min, with a sensitivity of 9.38 pg/mL, a detection range of 15.63-1000 pg/mL, and a stated recovery of 80%-120%. The micro ELISA plate is pre-coated with target antigen, and a biotinylated detection antibody is added together with standards or samples. Antigen present in the sample competes with the immobilised antigen for binding to the detection antibody. After incubation, an Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added, free components are washed away, and a substrate solution produces a colour change that is inversely proportional to the concentration of target antigen. Optical density is measured at 450 nm ± 2 nm.

The kit recognises Universal TXA2, with no significant cross-reactivity or interference observed between Universal TXA2 and analogues. It is intended for research in cardiovascular biology, metabolism, signal transduction, cancer, and epigenetics and nuclear signalling. The required sample volume is 50 μL, and the kit is stored at 2-8°C.
