Tubulin gamma Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Cell-Based ELISA Kit is designed for the qualitative detection of tubulin gamma protein expression in cultured cells. Using an indirect ELISA format, the assay captures tubulin gamma with target-specific primary antibodies, while HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. The kit is described as lysate-free and high-throughput, and can be used to measure relative tubulin gamma levels in cells as well as to screen the effects of various treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on tubulin gamma.

Reactivity is reported for Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, and detection is colorimetric at 450 nm with a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. The kit is supplied in a 96-Well Microplate format and is stored at 4 °C with a stated stability of 6 Months. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step is provided for determining cell density so that absorbance values can be normalised to cell amounts.

Tubulin gamma is a centrosomal protein involved in microtubule nucleation, centrosome duplication and spindle formation, and is a member of the tubulin family (gene symbol TUBG1, UniProt P23258).
