TOB1 (Phospho-Ser164)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

This Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the accurate and reliable detection of TOB1 phosphorylated at serine 164 levels in cell lysates. The kit shows reactivity against human, mouse, and rat samples and uses a colorimetric detection method read at 450 nm, with a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells.

The assay follows a lysate-free, indirect ELISA format in which the phosphorylated target is captured by phospho-specific primary antibodies, and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included to serve as an internal positive control in normalizing target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method may be used to determine cell density and adjust for plating differences. The kit supports high-throughput screening of the effects that various treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators have on TOB1 phosphorylation.

TOB1 is an anti-proliferative protein belonging to the BTG family that interacts with the erbB-2 receptor tyrosine kinase and may function as a tumor suppressor involved in cell cycle regulation, proliferation, and apoptosis.
