TOB1 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's TOB1 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit is a cell-based immunoassay designed for the accurate detection of TOB1 levels in cell lysates and tissue homogenates. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method at 450 nm and is described as offering high sensitivity and specificity for reliable and reproducible results. It is reactive with human, mouse and rat samples and is intended for use with adherent cells.

TOB1, also known as transducer of ERBB2, is an anti-proliferative protein involved in cellular processes including cell growth, proliferation and differentiation, and its dysregulation has been linked to cancer, making it a valuable biomarker for studying tumorigenesis. The kit provides a lysate-free, high-throughput, indirect ELISA workflow in which TOB1 is captured by target-specific primary antibodies and detected using HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalizing target absorbance, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining is provided for cell density normalization to adjust for plating differences.

With a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells and storage at 4°C/6 Months, the kit supports qualitative measurement of relative TOB1 amounts in cultured cells and screening of the effects that treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals) or activators have on TOB1 expression.
