TIMP2 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

A cell-based colorimetric ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the qualitative measurement of TIMP2 protein expression in cultured cells. The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which TIMP2-specific primary antibodies capture the target, and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies catalyze a colorimetric reaction read at 450 nm. The protocol is lysate-free and supports high-throughput workflows, making it suitable for measuring relative TIMP2 levels in cells and for screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on TIMP2 expression.

Reported reactivity covers Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, with a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. The kit is supplied in a 96-Well Microplate format and is intended for adherent cells. An anti-GAPDH monoclonal antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalizing target absorbance, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step can be used to determine cell density, allowing absorbance values to be normalized to cell amounts. Storage is at 4°C with a stated stability of 6 Months.
