THRB Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA

A cell-based ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for colorimetric detection of thyroid hormone receptor beta (THRB) protein expression in cultured cells. The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which THRB is captured by THRB-specific primary antibodies and detected via HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyse a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition, measured at 450 nm. It is lysate-free and suited to high-throughput screening of treatments, inhibitors (including siRNA or chemicals), and activators that affect THRB.

Reactivity is reported for human, mouse and rat samples, with adherent cells as the sample type. A monoclonal anti-human GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step can be used to determine cell density and adjust absorbance values for plating differences. The dynamic range is stated as > 5000 Cells, the plate format is 96-well, and storage stability is 4°C for 6 months.
