TGF beta1 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

This in-cell ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for qualitative detection of TGF-beta1 protein expression in cultured cells. It is a cell-based, lysate-free, high-throughput assay that uses an indirect ELISA format: TGF-beta1 is captured by target-specific primary antibodies, and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody, enabling a colorimetric readout at 450 nm following substrate addition.

The assay is reactive with Human, Mouse and Rat samples and is suitable for adherent cells. It can be used to measure relative TGF-beta1 levels in cultured cells and to screen the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals) or activators. A dynamic range of > 5000 Cells is reported, with storage at 4°C for 6 months.

For normalisation, a monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control. After the HRP colorimetric measurement, the Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method can be used to determine cell density, allowing absorbance values to be normalised to cell amounts.
