TF2H2 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA

From Assay Genie, this cell-based ELISA kit is designed to measure TF2H2 protein levels in cultured cells and tissue homogenates, supporting research in epigenetics and nuclear signaling. The assay is reactive with human, mouse and rat samples and operates with a dynamic range of greater than 5000 cells, producing a colorimetric readout at 450 nm. TF2H2 corresponds to the 44,419 Da subunit of the general transcription factor IIH complex, a component involved in nucleotide excision repair of DNA and in RNA polymerase II transcription initiation.

Detection follows an indirect ELISA format, in which TF2H2 is captured by a specific primary antibody and an HRP-conjugated secondary antibody catalyses the colorimetric reaction. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalisation, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining can be used to determine cell density, allowing absorbance values to be adjusted for plating differences. The kit is suitable for profiling TF2H2 expression in cultured cells and for screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals) or activators. Storage is at 4°C with a stated stability of 6 months.
