Telomerase (Phospho-Ser824)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a Cell-Based ELISA Kit designed for the qualitative determination of Telomerase (Phospho-Ser824) protein phosphorylation and expression in cultured cells. Detection is colorimetric and read at 450 nm, with reactivity against human samples and a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells.

The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which Telomerase (Phospho-Ser824) is captured by phospho-specific or total primary antibodies, and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies catalyse the colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control to normalise target absorbance, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step can be used to determine cell density. The kit is suitable for adherent cells and can be applied to measure Telomerase phosphorylation as well as to screen the effects of various treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators.

Telomerase is a ribonucleoprotein polymerase that maintains telomere ends by addition of the telomere repeat TTAGGG, and the kit targets the TERT gene product (Gene ID: 7015; UniProt ID: O14746). The assay supports research into telomere maintenance in cancer, age-related diseases, and stem cell biology.
