TAF4 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA

Assay Genie's colorimetric cell-based ELISA kit enables detection and quantification of TAF4 levels in cell samples, supporting research into gene expression regulation. TAF4 is a key component of the TFIID transcription initiation complex and plays a central role in mediating promoter responses to various activators and repressors. Its dysregulation has been linked to various diseases, including cancer and developmental disorders, making it a valuable marker for studying these conditions.

The kit uses an indirect ELISA format, capturing TAF4 with target-specific primary antibodies while HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody. Detection relies on a colorimetric reaction at 450 nm following substrate addition. The assay has a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells and is reactive with human and mouse samples. Storage is recommended at 4°C for up to 6 months.

Designed as a lysate-free, high-throughput assay, the kit measures relative TAF4 amounts in cultured cells and screens treatment effects. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody serves as an internal positive control, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining is used to determine cell density for normalizing absorbance values.
