Description

From Assay Genie, this Cell-Based ELISA Kit is designed for the qualitative detection of TAF1A protein levels in cultured cells and tissue samples using a colorimetric method read at 450 nm. The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which TAF1A is captured by target-specific primary antibodies and detected using HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition.

TAF1A is a subunit of the RNA polymerase I transcription factor SL1/TIF-IB complex, involved in preinitiation complex assembly and RNA polymerase I-dependent transcription. The kit is suitable for use with adherent cell samples and has stated reactivity with human and rat species. Reported dynamic range is > 5000 cells. The kit is stored at 4 °C with a stability of 6 months and is intended for research in the area of epigenetics and nuclear signaling.

For normalization, a monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method is provided to determine cell density, allowing absorbance values to be normalized to cell amounts. The assay is described as lysate-free, high throughput, and sensitive, making it suitable for measuring relative TAF1A expression and for screening the effects that treatments, inhibitors, or activators have on TAF1A levels.
