Synuclein-alpha (Phospho-Tyr133)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit enables quantitative detection of phosphorylated Tyr133 synuclein alpha levels in cell lysates using a colorimetric method measured at 450 nm. The assay is intended for adherent cell samples and shows reactivity with human, mouse, and rat samples, with a dynamic range of greater than 5000 cells.

Using an indirect ELISA format, the kit captures Synuclein-alpha (Phospho-Tyr133) with a target-specific primary antibody, then binds an HRP-conjugated secondary antibody that catalyses a colour reaction upon substrate addition. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance values, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining is used to determine cell density so that absorbance values can be normalised to cell amounts.

The lysate-free, high-throughput workflow makes the kit suitable for measuring relative amounts of phosphorylated Synuclein-alpha in cultured cells and for screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors such as siRNA or chemicals, or activators on Synuclein-alpha phosphorylation, supporting research into neurodegenerative disease mechanisms and therapeutic development.
