Synuclein-a (Phospho-Ser129)Fluorometric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie kit is a fluorometric, cell-based ELISA designed for qualitative monitoring of Synuclein-α phosphorylation at Ser129 in cells. Using an indirect ELISA format, the assay captures phosphorylated Synuclein-α with target-specific primary antibodies, and detection is achieved via Dye 1- and Dye 2-conjugated secondary antibodies that emit light at defined wavelengths for fluorometric readout. Described as lysate-free, high-throughput, and sensitive, the kit allows the relative amounts of phosphorylated Synuclein-α to be measured in cultured cells and can be used to screen the effects of treatments, inhibitors such as siRNA or chemicals, and activators on SNCA phosphorylation.

Detection is fluorometric and the assay type is cell-based ELISA, with reactivity against human, mouse, and rat samples. The stated dynamic range is > 5000 cells, and the kit is stored at 4°C for 6 months. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalizing target RFU values, and an antibody against the non-phosphorylated counterpart of Synuclein-α is provided for normalization of the phosphorylated signal.
