STAT2 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

A cell-based ELISA kit from Assay Genie for the detection of STAT2 protein levels in cell lysates and tissue samples, with reactivity against human and rat samples. The colorimetric detection method is read at 450 nm, and the assay is provided in a 96-Well Microplate format suited to adherent cell applications, with a stated dynamic range of more than 5000 Cells.

The kit is lysate-free, high-throughput and sensitive, qualitatively determining STAT2 expression profiles in cultured cells and supporting screens of treatment effects, inhibitors such as siRNA, or activators. It uses an indirect ELISA format in which STAT2-specific primary antibodies are bound by HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalization, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining can be applied to determine cell density for further data correction.

STAT2 is a transcription factor of the STAT family involved in the JAK/STAT signaling pathway, with roles in regulating immune responses, cell growth, and apoptosis. The assay is intended for storage at 4°C with a stated stability of 6 months and falls within the immunology research area.
