From Assay Genie, this Phospho-SRF (Ser99) Fluorometric Cell-Based ELISA Kit is a lysate-free, high-throughput assay designed to monitor phosphorylation and expression of the SRF transcription factor in cultured cells. The kit is suitable for measuring the relative amounts of phosphorylated SRF (Ser99) in cells, and for screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on SRF phosphorylation.

Detection uses an indirect ELISA format in which phospho-specific primary antibodies are captured and detected with dye-conjugated secondary antibodies, producing a fluorometric readout for qualitative measurement. Two normalization strategies are built into the workflow: a monoclonal anti-human GAPDH antibody acts as an internal positive control, and an antibody against the non-phosphorylated SRF counterpart is included so that the phospho-SRF RFU can be normalized against total SRF signals. The assay is reactive with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, with a stated dynamic range of > 5000 Cells.
