Src (Phospho-Tyr529)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Cell-Based ELISA Kit is a high throughput, lysate-free, and sensitive assay for the detection of phosphorylated Src at Tyr529 in cell samples. It can be used to measure the relative amounts of phosphorylated Src in cultured cells, and to screen the effects of various treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on Src phosphorylation.

Detection is achieved through an indirect ELISA format in which Src (Phospho-Tyr529) is captured by phospho-specific primary antibodies, and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody. The signal is read colorimetrically at 450 nm, with a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. The kit is listed for reactivity with human, mouse, and rat samples and is intended for use with adherent cells.

Normalisation controls are provided for accurate data interpretation. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method is supplied to determine cell density, allowing absorbance values to be normalised to cell amounts and correcting for plating differences.
