SOX6 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA

This in-cell ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative analysis of SOX6 expression in cultured cell samples. The cell-based format uses a colorimetric detection method measured at 450 nm in a 96-well microplate, and the assay is reactive with human, mouse and rat samples, with a stated dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. SOX6 (SRY-box 6) is a transcription factor involved in differentiation and development, and its dysregulation has been implicated in several diseases, making it a valuable biomarker for research in developmental biology and disease mechanisms.

The kit operates as a lysate-free, indirect ELISA: SOX6 is captured by target-specific primary antibodies, and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody, catalysing a colour reaction upon substrate addition. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalisation, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step may be used to determine cell density. The kit can be applied to measure relative SOX6 levels in cultured cells and to screen the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on SOX6 expression.

Reagents are supplied for the workflow, and the kit is intended to be stored at 4°C with a stated stability of 6 Months.
