Description

From Assay Genie, this cell-based ELISA kit is designed for the precise measurement of SNAI1 protein levels in cell lysates and tissue samples. SNAI1 (snail family transcriptional repressor 1) is a C2H2-type zinc finger transcription factor involved in the regulation of epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), a process central to cancer metastasis and tumor progression. The assay is reactive against human and mouse samples and is suitable for adherent cell culture.

The format is a microplate-based, indirect ELISA in which SNAI1 is captured by SNAI1-specific primary antibodies and detected using HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyze a colorimetric reaction measured at 450 nm. The dynamic range supports greater than 5000 cells, and the lysate-free, high-throughput workflow allows the kit to be used for measuring relative SNAI1 amounts in cultured cells and for screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors, or activators. A monoclonal antibody specific for GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalization, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step can be used to determine cell density for additional normalization. The kit is stored at 4°C with a stated stability of 6 months.

SNAI1 is a zinc finger transcriptional repressor that regulates transcription and plays a role in embryonic mesoderm formation as well as in EMT. The kit supports research applications in cancer biology, drug discovery, and cell signalling pathway studies, providing information on SNAI1 protein expression profiles relevant to investigating molecular mechanisms underlying cancer development and potential therapeutic targets.
