Smad2 Transcription Factor Activity Assay

The Smad2 Transcription Factor Activity Assay from Assay Genie is a DNA-binding immunoassay that quantifies the functional activity of Smad2, a key downstream effector of TGF-beta signaling. The microplate is pre-coated with a double-stranded oligonucleotide containing the Smad-binding element (SBE) consensus sequence, which captures activated Smad2 from nuclear and cell lysates. Bound Smad2 is then detected with a specific antibody, providing a quantitative readout of transcription factor activation in the sample.
