Smad1 Transcription Factor Activity Assay

The Smad1 Transcription Factor Activity Assay from Assay Genie is a DNA-binding ELISA kit for quantifying the DNA-binding activity of Smad1 in nuclear and cell lysates. Smad1 is a downstream mediator of BMP (Bone Morphogenetic Protein) signaling, supporting research on bone formation, osteoblast differentiation, and TGF-β superfamily pathways. The assay is validated for cross-reactivity with Smad1 derived from human, mouse, and rat samples.

The plate is pre-coated with a double-stranded oligonucleotide containing the Smad1 consensus binding sequence, allowing active Smad1 from nuclear extracts to bind and be detected by a specific antibody. Store kit components refrigerated at 4 degrees C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles of the working solutions.
