Sheep TGFB1/TGF-beta 1 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the precise measurement of TGF-β1 (Transforming Growth Factor Beta 1) levels in sheep samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. TGF-β1 is described as a key regulator of cell growth, differentiation, and immune response, with involvement in fibrosis, wound healing, and immune regulation, making it a valuable biomarker in studies related to inflammation, cancer, and autoimmune disorders.

The assay uses a colorimetric Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody format with a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a measurable range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL. Reported linearity for sheep samples at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions is 92-104%, 89-103% and 85-96% for serum (n=5); 87-96%, 85-100% and 85-100% for EDTA plasma (n=5); and 82-93%, 85-96% and 83-95% for heparin plasma (n=5). Recovery ranges are 85-104% (average 97) for serum, 89-105% (average 98) for EDTA plasma, and 86-103% (average 97) for heparin plasma.

The kit should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months. The procedure involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate, loading standards, samples, blanks and controls onto the pre-coated plate with a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, followed by a 60-minute biotin-labelled detection antibody incubation, a 30-minute HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding step, TMB substrate colour development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and a final absorbance reading at 450 nm after stop solution addition.
