Sheep IL-8 DIY ELISA Kit

This DIY (do-it-yourself) format kit from Assay Genie supplies the reagents researchers need to assemble their own quantitative two-antibody ELISA for ovine interleukin-8 (IL-8 / CXCL8) directly in the laboratory. The kit contains a capture antibody, biotinylated detection antibody, recombinant sheep IL-8 standard, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, and the buffers and TMB substrate required to develop the assay on user-prepared plates.

IL-8 is a CXC chemokine central to neutrophil recruitment and acute inflammatory signaling, and is routinely quantified in ovine research on mastitis, respiratory infection, parasitic disease, endotoxemia, and wound healing models. The reagents are specific to sheep and are intended for research use only, supporting studies where investigators wish to profile cytokine responses in experimentally challenged or naturally infected animals.

Components are supplied in quantities sufficient for up to 10 microplates, accommodating medium-throughput screening or longitudinal sampling designs with multiple time points. In a typical workflow the capture antibody is coated onto the plate overnight before samples and standards are introduced, and the signal is developed with TMB substrate. Reconstituted standard and working-strength detection antibody should be aliquoted to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and kit components should be kept refrigerated and protected from light as indicated on the lot-specific datasheet.
