Sheep IL-1B ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative detection of Interleukin-1 Beta (IL-1B) in sheep samples. It uses a double antibody sandwich ELISA format with a colorimetric readout, and is reactive with sheep, accepting serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

The kit offers a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a detection range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL. Reported linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions is: Serum (n=5) 86-105%, 87-105%, 85-102%; EDTA Plasma (n=5) 89-100%, 82-100%, 86-100%; Heparin Plasma (n=5) 81-100%, 80-98%, 85-93%. Recovery values are: Serum (n=5) 89-98% with an average of 94%, EDTA Plasma (n=5) 89-102% with an average of 98%, and Heparin Plasma (n=5) 88-105% with an average of 95%.

The assay procedure involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, loading standards, samples and blanks onto the pre-coated plate and incubating at 37°C for 90 minutes, adding biotin-labeled detection antibody for 60 minutes at 37°C, adding HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) for 30 minutes at 37°C, developing with TMB substrate in the dark for 10-20 minutes, then adding stop solution and reading absorbance at 450 nm.
