Sheep IgG ELISA Kit

A colorimetric sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of sheep IgG (also referred to as IgG1 or Immunoglobulin G1). The kit is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, supporting research in veterinary medicine, immunology, and infectious disease studies.

The double-antibody sandwich format uses a biotinylated detection antibody and HRP-Streptavidin conjugate, with TMB substrate producing a colour change read at 450 nm. Reported sensitivity is 0.75 ng/mL with a quantitative range of 1.25-80 ng/mL. Components are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months, and the kit is intended for research use only.

Validated linearity spans 82-101% across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions, with average recovery of 94-96% across the same matrices. The protocol involves primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, and TMB colour development in the dark for 10-20 minutes. A Bradford Reagent is supplied for total protein normalisation, and tissue homogenate preparation advises avoiding buffers containing NP-40, Triton X-100, or DTT.
