SERC3 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA

From Assay Genie, this cell-based ELISA kit provides qualitative detection of SERC3 protein expression directly in cultured cells using a lysate-free workflow. The assay employs an indirect ELISA format, in which SERC3-specific primary antibodies are captured and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. The kit is reactive with Human, Mouse and Rat samples and is designed for use with adherent cells.

Absorbance is read at 450 nm with a standard microplate reader, and the dynamic range is > 5000 Cells. An anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalization, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step is provided to account for differences in cell density. The kit can be used to measure relative SERC3 levels in cultured cells and to screen the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on SERC3 expression.
