SENP1 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this cell-based ELISA kit is designed to detect SENP1 protein expression profiles in cultured adherent cells using a colorimetric detection method measured at 450 nm. The kit operates via an indirect ELISA format, in which SENP1-specific primary antibodies capture the target and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition.

It provides a lysate-free, high-throughput workflow suitable for measuring relative SENP1 levels and for screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on SENP1 expression. An included anti-GAPDH monoclonal antibody serves as an internal positive control for normalization, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method can be used to determine cell density after the colorimetric measurement.

The assay reacts with human and mouse samples, with a stated dynamic range of more than 5,000 cells, and is supplied in a 96-well microplate format intended for storage at 4°C for 6 months. SENP1 is a cysteine protease involved in the SUMO pathway, where it processes SUMO precursors and deconjugates SUMO from target proteins, with research implications in cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, and inflammatory disorders.
