SARS-COV-2 Spike S1 Protein ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's SARS-COV-2 Spike S1 Protein ELISA Kit is a Sandwich ELISA designed for the in vitro quantitative measurement of SARS-CoV-2 Spike S1 Protein in serum and plasma (EDTA, citrate, heparin). Intended for laboratory research use only, the kit is not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.

The colorimetric assay runs in 4 hours on a microplate reader, using a Biotin conjugate and requiring 100 uL of sample per well. The stop solution changes color from blue to yellow, with absorbance read at 450 nm using a spectrophotometer. A set of calibration standards is included to generate a standard curve of optical density versus SARS-CoV-2 Spike S1 Protein concentration, allowing sample concentration to be determined by comparison of O.D. values. The kit reports a sensitivity of 32.22 pg/mL and a standard curve range of 78.1-5000 pg/mL.

Kit components include a Microtiter Plate, Enzyme Conjugate, Standards, Substrate A, Substrate B, Stop Solution, Wash Solution and Balance Solution. Storage instructions are 2-8°C for 1 week. The kit contains small quantities of sodium azide; flush drains with a large volume of water upon disposal, avoid ingestion and contact with eyes, skin or mucous membranes, and observe all federal, state and local regulations for disposal. All blood components and biological materials should be handled as potentially hazardous, following universal precautions established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
