Description

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of SARS-CoV-2 Spike RBD Protein Antibody in cell culture supernatant, serum, and plasma (EDTA, citrate, heparin). The assay is intended for laboratory research use only and is not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures. Detection is colorimetric, using a biotin conjugate, with the stop solution producing a blue-to-yellow colour change that is read at 450 nm on a microplate reader. A 100 uL sample volume is required.

The kit is supplied with a recombinant 2019-nCoV Spike RBD Protein coated plate, a concentrated control antibody (1000×), concentrated biotinylated recombinant 2019-nCoV Spike RBD Protein (250×), concentrated streptavidin-HRP (100×), control/sample diluent (R1), biotin-conjugate protein diluent (R2), streptavidin-HRP diluent (R3), 20× wash buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and plate sealers. A set of calibration standards is run alongside samples to produce a standard curve of optical density versus SARS-CoV-2 Spike RBD Protein Antibody concentration, from which sample concentrations are determined. The quoted sensitivity is 121.4 pg/mL, the standard curve range is 391–25000 pg/mL, and the assay can be completed in 4 hours.

The kit should be stored at 4°C. It contains small quantities of sodium azide, which reacts with lead and copper plumbing to form explosive metal azides; drains should be flushed with a large volume of water upon disposal and contact with eyes, skin or mucous membranes avoided. All blood components and biological materials should be handled as potentially hazardous, following universal precautions established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
