SARS-CoV-2 Neutralization Antibody ELISA Kit (semi-quantitative)

The Assay Genie semi-quantitative kit uses a competitive, surrogate virus neutralization format in which recombinant SARS-CoV-2 Spike Receptor Binding Domain is immobilized on the microplate to capture neutralizing antibodies present in the specimen. Captured antibodies block the binding of a labelled ACE2 reporter added in a subsequent step, so the optical signal is inversely proportional to the neutralizing titer. Diluted serum or plasma is added directly to the wells of the supplied microplate frame; only a 10 µL sample volume is required per well after the recommended dilution in assay buffer. Results are calculated as percent inhibition against the kit calibrator, allowing laboratories to track post-vaccination and post-infection immunity on a relative scale rather than as an absolute concentration.

The assay is specific to SARS-CoV-2 neutralizing activity and shows no significant cross-reactivity with antibodies directed against related coronaviruses such as SARS-CoV, MERS-CoV, HCoV-229E, HCoV-OC43, HCoV-NL63, and HCoV-HKU1 under standard run conditions. Each kit contains one frame of pre-coated strips, wash buffer concentrate, calibrator and control sera, ACE2-HRP conjugate, substrate, and stop solution. Unopened components should be kept refrigerated and protected from light; reconstituted reagents require freezing for longer storage. Intended for research use only and not for diagnostic procedures.
